Spur Gears

Nylon gears can be machined to suit a wide variety of applications. Himould® injection-moulded nylon gears are also available, in a limited range, for use in tandard applications. Gears are normally produced in a superior nylon-6 material. They are also available impregnated with molybdenum disulphide (MoS2), which improves their self-lubricating properties. All gears should be lubricated to increase their working life. Himould® nylon gears are recommended to be mated with steel gears for optimum performance, if this is practical within the application.
